Adobe Photoshop is an application which is used worldwide. It is mostly used by professional photographers as well as by designers. It might be quite difficult to use in the beginning but once you start learning and get used to it, you will definitely get a hang of it. Photoshop is a part of adobe and you will have to sign up to get access to it. Sometimes, you will also have to pay in order to use certain tools in adobe photoshop. Today, it is available in both Mac and Windows as well. If you are someone who knows the basics and wants to work as a professional in designing and photography, then this is the best platform. Let us now talk about some of the basic features and their advantages in photoshop. The following are some of the tools generally used by beginners in photoshop:
1) Basic tools: Under basic tools, there are tools like cropping, resizing, retouching, navigating and drawing tools. These tools can be used to give a subtle and gentle composition to the image that you are editing. These are very easy to use and handy tools.
2) Layers andGroups: In this feature of photoshop, you can easily give your image inner glow, outer glow and you can play around with overlays and textures.
3) Filter and Image Adjustments: Here, you can make your image look more attractive by adding some filters to it. You can also give your image brightness, fix its contrast, sharpen it and do the tones.

Adobe Illustrator is also an application of Adobe and in illustration, you can design posters and beautiful t- shirts. There are different tools in the illustration such as zooming, maneuvering, coloring, effects, grids, aligning, and many more. Illustrator is similar to paint but it can be called as an advanced version of it. If you start using it once, it is very handy to use and this can be utilised well by those in the professional design field. It is very fun to use and useful in this technological era. Artistic and attractive logos can also be designed here. In today’s era, logo plays a very crucial part in business promotion and many other sectors.

Adobe InDesign can be used to design books, magazines, brochures and pamphlets. It is mostly used to design and create 2D layouts with a combination of texts and images. It is easy to incorporate the images that you edited in Photoshop and create posters and informative pamphlets. If your work is based on more than two pages, then InDesign would be the best place to work in. There are different templates already there which can be used in order to learn the techniques to use it. If you want to create your own design and work on it, it is possible as well. We see that the books have different columns with texts, images, header, footer very organized in just a page so you can do the same here. The way you want your book cover, magazine, or anything that you want it to look like completely depends on you.

These are some basic ways in which these softwares can be used. There is more to it but you will have to take up a class or even learn from the internet, if you are dedicated enough towards it. All of the three applications will definitely come to your use at some point of life. It is better to learn it today and teach others.

All of the three mentioned adobe applications are useful in their own ways. It depends on the user for what purpose they want to use these for. Photoshop, as we can read above is mostly good for editing images and polishing your image. Illustrator is useful when designing posters, t- shirts and mostly logo, for business purposes. In this, you can show your own creativity and create your own original works. In InDesign as well, you can use your own creativity as well as use the templates that are already present in order to design book covers, magazines and brochures.
